Hi, it's FREE pass day for everyone on Veterans Day, November11, 2016, to all of America's National Parks. This free offer is the last FREE day in 2016.
Every year there are FREE admission days at all National Parks. Here is a list of the usual days every year, but check for the specific dates, because every year there are slight changes. Here is a link to the National Park Service website that has all the information. Meanwhile here are the usual days that are FREE:
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January.
- Presidents Day weekend in February.
- The opening weekend of National Park Week in April.
- National Park Service Birthday in August.
- National Public Lands Day in September.
- Veterans Day in November.
Only 127 of our country's 408 national parks usually charge an entrance fee. If you're planning a trip that includes multiple national
parks, you might consider the $80 annual pass that provides entrance to
all national parks, national wildlife refuges, national forests, and
many other Federal lands-more than 2,000 in all. The America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass
is offered free to all active duty military members and their
dependents. Information on these, and other pass options, is available
online.
Free pass days include: entrance fees, commercial
tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as
reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third
parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
