HELEN KELLER INTERNATIONAL CHARITY FIGHTS BLINDNESS AND MALNUTRITION.

Hi, if anyone is looking for a charity that has a good rating, please check out this one.

I know it's sometimes difficult find a reputable one. To the best of my knowledge, and research this one seems to do a good job.  It's the Helen Keller International charity that helps prevent blindness, and malnutrition of the poor in a number of countries around the world, including the US.

Visit a LEGO Store and learn how to build a LEGO Car and Gas Pump Model, and take it home – for FREE!

LEGO is having their FREE February Monthly Mini Builds on Tuesday, and Wednesday, February 6 and 7. Stores will no longer accept walk-ins on the night of the event.  You now need to register your child ahead of time.  Here is the link for that.

The Monthly Mini Model Build events are only open to registered LEGO VIP members. Not a VIP? It's easy, and free to sign up! Just visit a LEGO Store and ask a Brick Specialist how to sign up at checkout, or click here to sign up online

Quantities are limited to about 120 per store per night, and the offer is good only while supplies last, so sign up now.  One registration has a limit of 4 children per household.

Please note that you are registering for a building event.  Guests must participate in the event to receive the FREE set.  Guests will not be permitted to collect the set, and immediately leave, and may not pick the set up at a later date, or time.

Models are not for sale, and cannot be purchased. One FREE per child. The event is open to children ages 6-14 only.

The March registration begins on February 15 at 10am EST.  These monthly mini build really fill up fast so register you child/children quickly.

FREE - FRUGAL ALERT! FREE ALDULT CULINARY TECHNIQUE CLASS AT WILLIAMS-SONOMA ON FEBRUARY 21, 2018.

Hi, on Sunday, February 21, 2018, adults can attend a FREE Culinary Technique Class at 10 am at Williams-Sonoma.

In this class, they’ll share some tips and tricks for chopping, slicing and dicing like a pro with Global Cutlery knives. Then you’ll use the prepped ingredients to create one of Chef Ludo Lefebvre favorite recipes.(Class is taught by a Williams Sonoma Culinary Specialist)


The hour-long classes include tastings of the prepared dishes.

FREE - FRUGAL ALERT! HOME DEPOT KIDS WORKSHOP ON JANUARY 6, 2018 - MAKE A WOODEN BLOCK CALENDAR.

Hi, on Saturday, January 6, 2018, kids can make a FREE Wooden Block Calendar at 9am at Home Depot.  At this workshop you, and your child can assemble a wooden block calendar to kick off the new year.  Useful year-around, the block calendar is perfect for a table top display. Once the calendar construction is complete, your child can decorate it with paint, and stickers.

Hi, Happy New Year everybody! I hope everyone enjoyed any, and all of the holidays you celebrated.

It is hard to believe it is a new year already.  I know, we all say that every year, but for me every year that passes it seems more true.  I guess the old adage, "The older you get, the quicker time passes," is true.  We should all probably try to live in, and enjoy, the present moment.

Anyway, I want to let you know that I posted the link on my CONTEST/SWEEPSTAKES page (it's the first sweepstakes listed) for the new HGTV Dream Home Sweepstakes.  It runs until February 16, 2018, when the lucky winner will be chosen.
