I GOT MY COMPUTER BACK.......FINALLY

Hi, yep, I was without my computer while it was being "fixed". I put that in quotes, because the "fixers" claim they fixed it, but I'm still having trouble, and have to bring it in again.

My puter picked up a bug, and it rendered it useless. The thing I learned from all this is I've really got to find one of those places online to store my info. I was so afraid I would lose my data. I also learned that I need to get another laptop. I really need a backup in case it happens again. I went through some serious withdrawal the time I was without my laptop, lol.

Of course during that time a lot of the sweepstakes I have listed expired, so I'm working now on getting them all updated. Don't forget to enter the sweeps I have listed, there are some really good ones.

This is from the Read to Succeed program from Six Flags, and Discovery Education. All the details are here.

HOW TO GET RID OF AND CURE PLANTAR WARTS NATURALLY

Hi, a number of months ago I noticed something on the bottom of my left foot. I thought it was a plantar wart, but when I checked pictures of plantar warts online it didn't look the same. So be aware they don't all look the same. As time went on it got worst, and it was getting very painful, and becoming difficult to walk. To make matters worst two more had appeared on the same foot.

I decided I needed to have it checked out by my doctor to see if they really were plantar warts. My doctor confirmed that they were, and recommended a cream as a treatment.

My doctor knows me well, and wrote down the medication so that I could check it out before filling it. My doctor knows I will only take a prescription medication at last resort, after I tried all other natural wholistic safe treatments. If I find I can't live with the condition any longer, I may consider traditional treatment after much thought, and research.

Well, would you like to guess one of the side effects of the medication? It's death. The cream is an immune suppressant, which "they" refer to as an "immune modulator". It goes almost without saying, I never even considered the cream.

I needed to do something, though, as I need to be able to walk, and it was becoming more painful, and difficult walking around. Anyone who has had a plantar wart knows how bad they can be. They are not like other simple warts on the hand. Plantar warts are on the bottom of the foot, and they grow up inside the foot, and can really cause problems with pain, and mobility.

I researched, and came upon a treatment I knew would work, and work fairly quickly (my intuition again). I thought, at first, I would just use coconut oil, as that has anti-viral properties, but I thought it would take longer. I do use it now, though, to keep them away.

All right, all this build up for the best, simpliest, and safest cure for plantar warts--it is Duck Tape, yes Duck Tape! All you have to do is keep a piece of Duck Tape on the plantar wart until it is healed. You should change it every day, or every couple of days.

I had to keep 3 pieces of Duck Tape on my foot, because of the 3 warts, and it took awhile for them all to go away, especially the really big painful one, but they all went away. I keep them away now by putting coconut oil on the bottom of my feet almost every day.

It did take about 3 weeks for a cure, remember natural cures take time, but they are usually safer. Each time you take off the old piece to put on a fresh piece, you will notice that the "inside" of the wart will come off with the tape. You don't need to do anything else, but be consistent and patient.

I'M BACK

Hi everyone. I've been away from posting for 6 months. At the end of July I moved. It was a really big chore for me, as I had to do it all myself. I had moving men, but I had to do all the packing, and everything else involved in moving.

Not feeling so good didn't help either. Anyway, I made it through that, and planned on only being away from my blog for a couple of months to get settled, but when I moved here, I found out they didn't have internet access! I couldn't believe it, because they had told us we would have it.

It is a brand new development, and they had a contract with Verizon for us to be able to have high speed DSL, but Verizon didn't honor the contract. I'm not surprised anymore at how awful Verizon is, as I also had trouble simply getting a phone when I first moved in. Shortly after I moved in they went on strike, and were playing with customers for a couple of weeks before the planned strike. I didn't find this out until much later, and many days of sitting and waiting for no one to show up.

Long story short, I was without internet for about a month, then I had to relent and get dial-up, yes, can you believe it in this day and age. That was because this development wouldn't allow other internet companies onto the property, like Comcast, etc., since they had a contract with awful Verizon.

Dial-up was even worst then I remembered from the early days, and I couldn't even access my own blog, let alone, videos, and almost anything else.

I eventually learned of mobile interent, yes, I'm behind the times in computers. So I settled onto Clear using a USB device I had to purchase. It is mostly all right so far, but very expensive, but at least I can access most things now including this blog, and videos. So I plan on trying to get this blog back on track. I can't blog everyday, but will try to get things up that are important.

I will work on getting all the contests updated as a lot of the ones posted are now expired, hopefully someone won something who entered from one of my links. I also come here to enter the contests daily as it is easy having all great contests on one page, and all I have to do is clink the links and enter, so I've missed it myself.

I've also started a number of other natural treatments, and as soon as I have definite information about how they are working for me, I'll post about that too.

HAPPY EASTER

Hi, I want to wish everyone who celebrates, a Happy Easter.

I hope everyone who dyed eggs this year used natural dyes, and followed my post from last Easter. If you didn't, check it out, and make sure you dye them the natural way next year. You want to get all artifical dyes out of all your food. The dyes do leak through the shell into the egg, because the shell is permeable.

In fact, this is a good time to get all dyes out of your diet. Please read all labels before you buy. Better yet, don't buy any processed foods, that will get them out of your food, although there are still a lot of dyes in medicines, even over the counter drugs. Think of the "pink stuff."

This is also the time of the year when everyone is doing a lot of spring cleaning. So this is the perfect time to clean up your diet, and environmental pollutants. Please, please, everyone get rid of the chemical cleaners, not only are you poisoning yourself and your families, but all that stuff gets into the water system, and all of our environment. We have more then enough chemicals already.

I want everyone to remember that all the chemical cleaners that go down the drains, and all the medicine laced waste that gets flushed away, eventually becomes our drinking water, and most water processing systems do not remove most chemical toxins, VOCs and medicines.

We've all heard the reports of how we all being medicated because there are so many drugs in our drinking water; we can all do our part to clean up for ourselves, our families, and for everyone.

This is very frugal, because not only can you earn free gifts, but you will save money by recycling, and using less energy. Can we all say "lower electric and gas bills?"

This is a great time to join in, with Earth Day, April 22, 2011, coming up. If we all conserve energy, not only will our air, water, and earth be cleaner, but maybe we can all do away with those awful nuclear power plants.

Please remember to turn off the lights when you are not in the room (a pet peeve of mine). There are many other ways to conserve, and save money at the same time. Combine errands to use less gas. Plug appliances into a circuit breaker, and turn the breaker off at night, and when not in use. Eat organic. Recycle everything you possibly can. Save on heating and cooling cost, by lowering and raising the thermostat. Consider buying used instead of new. Many things are worth it, furniture, clothing, and seldom used items, etc. On the other hand, it is usually better to buy new energy efficient appliances; they will save you money in the long run with lower energy costs.
