Hi,this is a very interesting FREE offer.  It's quite a brilliant advertising campaign actually, because it really is possible it may save lives.

I'll explain.  Bayer is giving away a FREE key chain that holds some Bayer aspirin, and they will send it to anyone who "takes the Pledge".  The Pledge is that you will agree to carry the Bayer aspirin with you at all times, and if you come across someone having a heart attack you give them an aspirin.

They're calling the campaign HEROSMITHS.  And they are asking everyone to be a HERO.  The link below will bring you to the website, and you can find out all about why they are calling it that.  It is very interesting.

There have been valid studies that if someone, who is having a heart attack, takes an aspirin immediately (it's best to chew it) that it will help that person survive that heart attack.  Besides chewing you can also just put it in your mouth under your tongue if for some reason you are unable to chew it.  Although it is best to break it up first, as you really want the aspirin to get absorb quickly into the blood stream.  Under the tongue, there is a strong vascular area that helps the aspirin go straight into the blood stream without having to go through the digestive tract.  Of course after chewing it up you would then swallow it.  The inside of the cheeks also have a lot of blood vessels. You can also buy aspirin powder in a small package to make it easier to take in this circumstance.

If you want to participate, and get the FREE key chain with Bayer aspirin, I would recommend signing up now, because I don't know how long this offer will last.

In closing, I want to say that I hope many of you will be able to save a life using this method, or even another one.  It's a rewarding experience for you, and well the person gets to continue living!

I once was able to save someone using the Heimlich Maneuver, which is something else you should all educate yourselves about.  The life you save can be your own too, as there is a way to do it on yourself.  Check out Youtube for very good videos about that.  I really feel it's inexcusable not to know that, and CPR, especially since you can teach yourself, at least the basics, by taking the time to learn.

Here is the link to take the pledge.
