FREE - FRUGAL ALERT! FREE PASS DAY AT ALL NATIONAL PARKS ON NOVEMBER 11, 2015.

Hi, it's FREE pass day on Veterans Day, November 11, 2015, to all of America's National Parks.  This free offer is for everyone, not just veterans, but it is the last free day in 2015.

Every year there are FREE admission days.  Here is a list of the usual days every year, but check for the specific dates after they are announced when the new year starts. Here is a link to the National Park Service website that has all the information.  Meanwhile here are the usual days that are FREE:

- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January.

- Presidents Day weekend in February.

- The opening weekend of National Park Week in April.

- National Park Service Birthday in August.

- National Public Lands Day in September.

- Veterans Day in November.

Only 127 of our country's 408 national parks usually charge an entrance fee.  If you're planning a trip that includes multiple national parks, you might consider the $80 annual pass that provides entrance to all national parks, national wildlife refuges, national forests, and many other Federal lands-more than 2,000 in all. The America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass is offered free to all active duty military members and their dependents. Information on these, and other pass options, is available online.

Free pass days include: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
