FREE - FRUGAL ALERT! FREE WORLDWIDE ONLINE SCREENING OF THE MOVIE "THE TAPPING SOLUTION"

Hi,  this is a movie that you want to see.  I've posted many times about EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and this is a great movie that will answer a lot of questions you may still have about it.

I wish I found out about this free screening sooner, but for some reason I didn't.  I'm very busy at this time of the year, like many of you, and I haven't gotten to all my emails so I'm sure the fault is mine.  Anyway, you still have plenty of time to view it the rest of today, and all of tomorrow.  It's available for FREE online screening through December 20, 2013.

Please make the time to see this, it is really important for your health, and your friend's, and family's health to learn this simple, and extremely effective healing technique.

The screening includes bonus interviews with three people, which includes one of my personal favorites the brilliant Bruce Lipton, and a Q & A with the producer of the film, Nick Ortner, if you are interested.

Watch it now, so that you don't miss out.

Here is the link.

Enjoy the movie.

SAVE - FRUGAL ALERT! SENIOR DISCOUNTS AT RESTAURANTS, GROCERY & RETAIL STORES!

Hi, I've posted this before, but I thought it might be worth posting again.  Especially since many people are shopping, and eating out at this time of the year.  I'm also going to paste it on the bottom of my Free Stuff page so it will be easy to access anytime.

Here is a great long list of restaurants, grocery, and retail stores, etc. that offer discounts, sometimes substantial discounts, for seniors. Check the age, day, or days the discount applies.  It is always best to ask at each individual establishment.

A lot of the places don't have this information posted, so you should ask at each place that you shop at, since there can be other places too that aren't on this list.  This list is quite accurate, to the best of my knowledge, but at all places you do have to ask for the discount.  Even if they wanted to give it to you, it could be awkward for the cashier to ask someone how old they are, or worse assume someone is a senior who isn't, lol.  So be sure to ask, and have proof of your age with you.

Don't forget to take advantage of these discounts, every little bit we can save helps nowadays.  And those of you of a younger age, why not ask an elderly friend, neighbor, or relative to go with you, and use their discount.  It can work out for both of you, as some elderly people find it difficult to drive themselves to stores.  You'll both feel good for helping each other out.

FREE - FRUGAL ALERT! FREE ACETAMINOPHEN AT CVS THIS WEEK!

Hi, I want to let you know about the CVS freebie I discovered this week.

CVS is nationwide (US), so it should work everywhere, but it is definately working in NJ.

Go to CVS, and scan your CVS ExtraCare card at the scanner. (You should do this every time you visit CVS, because sometimes you receive a valuable coupon, or a great freebie.) Anyway, this week you will get a coupon for $4.99 for a 24ct bottle of CVS brand Acetaminophen, from the coupon center.  After they scan your CVS ExtraCare Card, and the $4.99 coupon at the checkout--you get it free.

Sometimes you have to pay the tax, and sometimes you don't. It just depends on the individual store. There's no rhyme or reason to it.

There is a limit of one per household, but if two people in a household each have a card, it should work on each card. So you could possibly score a couple of free bottles of the acetaminophen. Get there soon, since they could run out, and this offer ends on Saturday.  The info about this offer in on the back page of this week's CVS circular.

I do feel I need to mention that I don't recommend you ever take acetaminophen, because it is rough on the liver, and I always recommend using natural means to reduce pain, and swelling whenever possible.  But, if your medical health professional recommends it to you, and you feel you need to take it, make sure it is for as brief a time as possible, and at least you will get it free, and have it on hand in an emergency if you should need it.

IS COCONUT OIL AN ALTERNATIVE CURE OR TREATMENT FOR ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND DEMENTIA?

Hi, I received a couple of phone calls last week, and surprisingly, or maybe not, both of the people had relatives who are suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.  One person had 3 relatives, and the other person's mother was suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's.

I was not surprised because of the prevalence of bad health in our present society, especially with the obesity, and Diabetes type 2 epidemic, and the constant onslaught of toxins we are all exposed to on a daily basis.

You may ask what does Diabetes type 2 have to do with Alzheimer's, and that is something that has recently been discovered.  The connection is not completely clear, but both have something to do with insulin resistance, and Alzheimer's is now often referred to as Diabetes type 3.

We now know that Diabetes type 2 is easily curable.  The mainstream medical establishment doesn't admit this, as of yet, but the proof is slowly emerging, and the truth will be known to everyone if we keep spreading the facts.

Lesser known, is a viable treatment for Alzheimer's Disease.  And while there is not yet a cure, this simple method can prevent further decline, and even reclaim much of the lost brain function.

I'm going to enclose a youtube video link below so that you can watch the short news broadcast about this treatment, and you can do a youtube search for further information about it.  I decided to post the short video because I think more people will watch it rather that a long, or multiples videos, but if you want more information you can easily find it on youtube.  Just search Coconut Oil and Alzheimer's, and/or Dr. Mary Newport, and many videos will come up.  Do as much research as you can about this, and spread the word.  Tell people even if they doubt you.

Dr. Mary Newport is largely responsible for the coconut oil treatment.  Her husband has early onset Alzheimer's Disease, and she has successfully treated him with coconut oil for years, and is trying to get the word out about this successful treatment.  You can do a search on youtube for her complete story since there are many videos posted there.   She also wrote a book in 2011 titled "Alzheimer's Disease: What If There Was A Cure?"

I was surprised that many people still don't know about it, so I wanted to get this post done quickly to inform people so that they, or their loved ones, can get started on this simple treatment today.

This is about the Ketogenic Diet, and coconut oil.  I've mentioned the Ketogenic Diet in my posts before, and stated that it is also a great diet for cancer, especially brain cancer.  The Ketogenic Diet is  difficult to stay on because of the low carb requirement.   It is basically a very high fat, very low carb, and sufficient protein diet.  The Ketogenic Diet produces ketones in the body.  You also get this when you are on a reducing diet, and during starvation.  All of these ways would, for obvious reasons, be difficult to continue for very long.  But it was discovered that a simple way to produce these ketone bodies is to incorporate a medium chain fatty acid in your diet.  That's where coconut oil comes in.

You can do the research for the in-depth scientific explanation, if that is important to you, but a simple explanation is that the brain develops insulin deficiency, and insulin resistance.  This causes a  problem getting glucose into the neurons of the brain so the neurons malfunction, and eventually die. Since there are billions of neurons in the brain, the brain is able to compensate for a while, but over time, they believe about 10 to 20 years, the brain can no longer compensate, and you lose certain pathways in the brain.

The amazing thing is that even though the brain can no longer use glucose for the energy it needs, it can use ketone bodies which comes from the break down of certain fats.  Most fats are composed of long chain fatty acids which cannot cross the blood brain barrier.  Coconut oil is predominantly composed of medium chain fatty acids.  Medium chain triglycerides go directly into the liver where part of it is turned into ketone bodies. These ketones are then used by the brain for energy in place of the glucose, which it normally uses.  Since coconut oil is in itself a very healthy oil, with wonderful qualities, it is anti-bacteria, anti-fungal, and anti-parasitic, it can be continued indefinitely.

I do have to mention that there is a contrary belief that glucose uptake is not insulin dependent. I tend to fall on the side of Dr. Newport that glucose is at least partially insulin dependent, but I'll let more scientific minds fight that out.  The main take-away is that coconut oil works.

It appears that the "sweet spot" of coconut oil dosage is about 4 tablespoons for Alzheimer's, but I caution, start out slowly.  I would recommend starting with one teaspoon, and gradually increase to "level of tolerance."  Everyone's level of tolerance will be different, but if you exhibit intolerance, say with diarrhea, before the 4 tablespoons you can often cut back, and then increase slowly to a higher level.  Even 2 tablespoons a day may help a little.

The other important thing to mention is that you want to spread the oil out into numerous dosages a day.  It appears best to include some at every meal, about 3 or 4 times a day, since the effects of the oil appear to wane a little after many hours.  It can't be predicted how quickly, or slowly the effects will wane, each person is different.  You need to experiment.  Please post your results, and what you did, since we all need to share information to help each other.

We're talking about a lot of oil, so I would recommend using only coconut oil, or at least severely limit all other oils.  Most other oils are quite unhealthy anyway; see my previous post of March 22, 2010 entitled "Fat Is Where It's At."  With this level of fat you also have to consider any gall bladder, kidney, and/or liver disease issues, but for the most part coconut oil is extremely well tolerated.

I, myself, don't cook with any oils, or fats, if I did though, I would only cook with coconut oil since it is one of the few oils that will not go rancid during heating.  The only oil I personally use is coconut oil, and only get other fats from nuts, seeds, avocados, and organic plain yogurt.  I would recommend not heating the oil, although you can up to 350 degrees.  Some ways that people like the coconut oil is in coffee, or tea.  You can add it to soups, hot cereals, rice, pasta, and quinoa dishes after they are cooked.  You basically can use it any way that you can use any other oil, or fat.  It will be liquid when it reaches a temperature of 76 degrees, or higher.

It is important to also include a good Omega 3 supplement of DHA and EPA.  I won't recommend a brand, but make sure it is pure without contaminants, and if you are a vegetarian, as I am, you can now get an Omega 3 supplement with DHA and EPA from algae oil.  As great and healthy as coconut oil is it doesn't contain Omega 3 so you will need to supplement that. Most people need to take an Omega 3 DHA and EPA supplement anyway.

I need to mention that this treatment is not an excuse to continue with a poor diet.  You need to clean up your diet, and if you are suffering from any of the above mentioned diseases you need to remove all sugars, and processed foods from your diet now.  Eat a simple diet that consists of as much whole organic foods that you can, especially vegetables, low carbs, and stay well hydrated with pure water.   A clean healthy diet is even more important if you are suffering with any disease.

You should also optimized your vitamin D level to at least 70ng/ml.  I would supplement with vitamin D3, not the synthetic vitamin D2. If you supplement with vitamin D you also need to optimize your vitamin K2 level.  It is very important to balance both.  You can obtain vitamin K2 from fermented foods with live probiotics, not pasturized versions, or a good high quality probiotic supplement.  I almost can't stress this enough.

A healthy gut flora is of utmost importance in all health, and that is especially true for brain health.  The brain and the bowel are intimately connected; the condition of the bowel directly influences the health of the brain.  That is another reason why a good quality probiotic, in foods, or supplement form is essential.

Some other things that may be helpful include turmeric in foods, or a turmeric (curcumin) supplement.  Turmeric has amazing health benefits.  Saffron is another important spice that has shown to be of some benefit. The "B" vitamins, especially the trio of B6, B9, and B12.  Make sure the B12 is in the methylcobalamin form, not the cyanocobalamin form.  You also need to take B12 sublingually (under the tongue) which is the best way for it to be absorbed.  I also like digestive enzymes, which you can take before meals, as well as between meals.  This again has a lot to do with the bowel brain connection.  Possibly CoQ10 in the ubiquinol form, not the ubiquinone form, may help, and MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) in powder form.

I hesitate to recommend any other supplements, or herbs, which could be risky.  I've only recommended natural substances which are in foods, the foods themselves, or substances we produce in the body, but may be insufficient in disease states.  Having said that, you still need to consult with your doctor while taking these things, because while they are usually very safe, each individual reacts differently to everything.  Also anyone can be allergic to anything, even something that is safe for most, so again, be careful and, consult with your health professional.

I want to state that everyone may not improve with the coconut oil, but the feedback that Dr. Newport has gotten so far is that about 9 out of 10 people show some improvement, and many show dramatic improvement.  I believe that if you use all of my recommendations it will be helpful for most people, but you cannot just take coconut oil, and continue with harmful health habits, and expect a total cure if you are unwilling to improve your total health.  For optimal health, for everyone, you need to remember two things bring dense nutrients in, and get dangerous toxins out.  Just try to get as many toxins as you can out of your life. You can search my other posts for information about that.

Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't mention exercise, especially in the form of walking.  Not only is it important for all health, but has been proven to be essential for brain health.

Lastly, I want to mention how harmful stress can be not only to your complete health, but brain health too.  Stress takes an unimaginable toll on us, so you need to find healthy coping mechanisms now.  You can check out the link at the top of my page titled "Alternative Cures/Home Remedies" where I devote a section on some of the healthiest ways to deal with stress.  I will mention now that EFT is probably the best, and you can find information about that here by doing a search.

It's important to know that many people are using this treatment for other brain related diseases as well.  Someone with ALS found great improvement on 9 tablespoons of coconut oil, and someone with Parkinson's also had wonderful results. The Ketogenic Diet has also seen success with autism, epilepsy, and many other conditions.

This will be a good start in the treatment, and you will discover other things to do as you go along in your search for great health.  Even though you will surely recognize improvements in the patient, have the person draw the "Alzheimer's Clock," before treatment, and repeat the test in the weeks following the treatment, so that you will be able to gauge, and prove, the results.  To do the clock test have the person draw a clock with all the numbers, and hands for a specific time, say 11:10.   You can do more extensive testing on yourself, or someone else, and here is a link to a free online test.

Good luck, and here is the video:

FREE - FRUGAL ALERT! FREE SATISFRIES AT BURGER KING

Hi, I was trying to figure out if I would post this, or not. I don't like to recommend fast food to anyone, but if you are going to indulge anyway, I figure, why not get it for free.

You all know that I recommend only healthy eating, and living, but, if you are healthy, an occasional treat is fine, so again that is why I'm posting this.

This Saturday, and Sunday, October 12, and 13, Burger King, during business hours when fries are normally sold, will hand out free Satisfries to all consumers. No strings attached. They expect to give away millions of servings.

No coupon is needed, and no other purchase required, but there is a limit of one per customer.

Enjoy!

FREE COUPON PROMO CODE FOR VITACOST.COM - $10 OFF!

Hi, here is a link for $10 off your first order at vitacost.com. You have to go through my referral link to get the $10 off.

I use vitacost.com to buy most of my supplements, health needs, and a lot of personal care products as well. Vitacost is much cheaper than the bricks and mortar stores I used to buy from. With my referral you will receive $10 off your very first order of $30 or more, and then you can offer referrals to others after your first order.

They offer free shipping on any order $49 or more.  So it will save you the time of going to the store, and the cost of gas, and will be delivered free to your doorstep on any order $49 or more, and with the $10 off you will have a great deal.

I find that vitacost.com has the best prices, and the best customer service of all the online stores. Check them out for yourself, and see if the products you already buy at CVS, Riteaid, Walgreens, Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, Whole Foods, and any health food stores aren't cheaper at vitacost.com.  Vitacost usually has the best prices of all the other online health orientated stores too.

For example, the picture on the right is a picture of the Vitacost brand of organic coconut oil.  It is a very large size of 54 oz. (I use a lot of coconut oil).  The usual price is only $21.99, and that is great, but it is also on sale right now for an unbelievable price of $16.99.  This is the coconut oil that I use.  I used to buy the Nutiva brand in the 54 oz. size, which is also a great price, but I find the Vitacost brand to be exactly the same, and about $2 cheaper.

Vitacost is also a Google Trusted Store.  The Google Trusted Stores program helps you identify online stores that deliver a great experience.  When you buy from a Google Trusted Store you get free purchase protection from Google.

Good Health and Wealth,

Jeanne

FREE - FRUGAL ALERT! FREE PUFFS TISSUES AT CVS

Hi, this week at CVS they are offering a box of FREE Puffs tissues.
Hurry because this offer ends tomorrow.  There is a limit of one per household.

To get the FREE tissues, go to CVS, and scan your ExtraCare Card at the CVS Coupon Center Kiosk.  If you don't have an ExtraCare Card, simply sign up online, or in the store.  It is totally free, and you will earn rewards, and free products from time to time.  For this offer you must have been an ExtraCare Card holder as of 8/25/13, but get it anyway for the next offer.

The Coupon Center will print a number of coupons for you, and look for the $1.00 off any P&G item on the back page of this week's CVS circular.  You can use the coupon for any of those items, but notice the Puffs tissues are on sale for $0.88 which will make the tissues FREE.  The Puffs tissues that are on sale are the Puffs pop-up 96ct. and the Puffs Plus 46-68 ct. tissues.

The cashier has to adjust the coupon amount to $0.88 which will make it totally FREE.  If the cashier gives you any problems, they shouldn't, but if they do, ask to speak to the manager.  Sometimes cashiers can be quite problematic with coupons, but you can also report them to the CVS toll free number 1-800-SHOP-CVS.

They do seem to fix the problems at a particular store, or cashier, if customers report problems.  While I don't like to report people, some of the cashiers are quite unpleasant sometimes, and if CVS is offering a FREE item, it really isn't up to the cashiers to give the customers a problem with it.  Of course, many of the cashiers are great, so I like to compliment excellent service too, feel free to do that at the toll free number as well.

Enjoy!

FREE - FRUGAL ALERT! VALUABLE HEALTH INFORMATION FROM THE LONGEVITY NOW CONFERENCE ***UPDATE*** FREE ACCESS OPENED TO JULY 6, 2013.

**UPDATE***  Because of the popularity of this FREE conference, and that the site crashed big time, and so many people weren't able to view the videos, they have generously extended the FREE viewing for ALL THIS WEEK!  You can view all the videos until Saturday, July 6, 2013, at midnight.

Not only that, but you don't even have to register anymore, and use a password.  The vids are all on this page now.  I also changed the link below to the new page.

Don't forget to check out David Wolfe's lectures, they are great.

Hi, I received this invitation, and signed up, and wanted to let others know about it.

This is a wonderful offer.  The Longevity Now Conference is offering a weekend of FREE webstreaming from their last Longevity Now Conference.

They did have trouble with their site crashing, because a lot of people took advantage of this FREE offer, and it is difficult to get through to play the videos, but it is really worth all the trouble.  They did extend the FREE "weekend" until Monday at midnight, because of the trouble.

I was only able to view two of them so far, but hope I can get through to the others.  The conferences that they hold are chock full of very valuable information.  I have actually purchased the DVDs to a couple of their previous conferences.

My favorite speaker/teacher has a number of videos posted.  That is the brilliant David Wolfe who is one of the best teachers I've ever seen.  I'm a former teacher myself, so believe me I know a talented teacher when I see one.  He is a natural born teacher, and you will be informed, and entertained when you listen to him.

There are many other speakers too, and some of them are really entertaining as well, but they all have great information to share.

Here is the link in case you wanted to register, and try to get through.

Good luck, and Enjoy!
